Established in 1984, Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia Korea (PPMK) is a dedicated organisation that supports Malaysian students residing in the Republic of Korea. Over the years, PPMK has been pivotal in providing support, guidance, and a sense of belonging to Malaysian students.

History

Established in 1984, Persatuan Pelajar Malaysia Korea (PPMK) is a dedicated organization that has continuously supported Malaysian students in the Republic of Korea. For over four decades, PPMK has provided guidance, fostered cultural exchange, and built a strong sense of belonging for Malaysians studying abroad. By bridging communities, PPMK remains a trusted platform where students can grow academically, socially, and personally.

Networking

PPMK actively connects Malaysian students with local communities, international peers, and potential employers. We support fresh graduates in building their career paths through signature events such as Simposium Kerjaya Mahasiswa (SIKMA), Mock Interviews, and Course & Career Talks—creating meaningful bridges between students and industries.

Unity

Unity is at the heart of PPMK. With 629 active members as of 2025, we strive to strengthen the bond among Malaysian students in Korea through cultural celebrations, social activities, and community programs. Together, we build a supportive network where every student can thrive and feel at home.

Malam Anugerah Dirgahayu (MAD) 2025

MAD 2025 is an annual year-end dinner event organised to celebrate the journey of Malaysian students in the Republic of Korea through a vibrant award ceremony. The event recognises academic, co-curricular, and leadership excelence while featuring student performances that add energy and entertainment. The evening fostered pride and lasting memories, honouring the dedication and accomplishments of each student, especialy the graduating cohort.

Karnival Sukan Mahasiswa (KASUMA) 2025

KASUMA brought students from multiple batches together to compete in sports and games, showcasing talent and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, with new games added for a fun twist. The annual event successfully promoted active and healthy lifestyles, while strengthening friendships and student engagement across the Malaysian student community in Republic of Korea.

Simposium Kerjaya Mahasiswa (SIKMA) 2025

SIKMA 2025, organised with the support of TalentCorp’s MyHeart Young Global Leader programme, engaged 134 final-year and third year students in virtual career fairs, group interviews, and interactive dialogues with company representatives. The symposium provided career insights and professional networking opportunities, while alowing companies to identify and recruit top Malaysian talent in the Republic of Korea.
